Build an AI-Powered Language Learning App with Automated Lesson Delivery - Contract to Hire

We're looking for an experienced AI engineer and full-stack developer to build a smart language learning application that leverages modern AI to deliver personalized, automated learning experiences.

What we need built:

The app should include an AI-driven lesson engine that adapts to the learner's pace and proficiency level, automated progress tracking with personalized recommendations, a conversational AI tutor (chatbot) for real-time practice and feedback, speech-to-text integration for pronunciation assessment, automated lesson scheduling and reminder workflows, and a clean, responsive UI for web and/or mobile.

Tech we're open to:

Node.js / React / React Native, OpenAI or similar LLM APIs, Whisper or equivalent for speech recognition, PostgreSQL or Firebase, and REST/GraphQL APIs.

About the engagement:

This is a fixed-price project. We expect the scope to be delivered over 4–6 weeks. Clear communication and milestone updates are expected throughout.

What we're looking for:

Strong experience with LLM API integrations

Prior work on EdTech or consumer-facing apps is a plus

Ability to work independently and deliver clean, production-ready code

Available for async communication
