Social Media Content Creator (Contractor)

About the position

We’re looking for a Social Media Content Creator to support content creation and execution across several client accounts. This is a contractor role ideal for someone who is both creative and execution-focused, and who enjoys bringing ideas to life through high-quality, engaging content. While much of the work can be done remotely, this role requires someone based in the Tampa Bay area who can occasionally attend in-person content shoots, capture video and photo content, and support on-site production needs.

Responsibilities

• Create social media content for platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok, depending on the client
• Capture photo and video content during in-person shoots (events, offices, brand sessions, etc.)
• Edit short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, LinkedIn clips, etc.)
• Collaborate with our internal team to execute against content calendars and campaign themes
• Repurpose long-form content (blogs, videos, podcasts) into social-ready assets
• Write captions and support post copy aligned with brand voice and messaging
• Stay on top of trends and identify opportunities to create timely, relevant content
• Ensure content is on-brand, high-quality, and aligned with overall marketing strategy

Requirements

• Experience creating social media content, including both video and photo, for brands or clients.
• Comfortable shooting and editing short-form video content using tools like CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar.
• Understand what performs on social media and can contribute ideas, not just execute tasks.
• Familiarity with content formats and best practices across platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
• Ability to manage deadlines, follow direction, and ensure content is polished and ready to publish.
• Collaborate well with a remote team and communicate clearly and proactively.
• Must be located in the Tampa Bay, FL area and available for periodic in-person content shoots.
